Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance understands that the last few years have shifted the world. Many companies have converted to hybrid or fully remote work schedules, reducing and even eliminating many Hoosiers’ daily commutes. We also recognize that many Hoosiers are stay-at-home parents, retirees, luxury car owners, college students or military personnel that may find themselves in their cars less than the average Indiana resident.

We want to show Indiana that we recognize some vehicles may not see the road as much as others do and, because of that, you may have an opportunity to save more on your auto insurance. Our company created a discount for eligible policyholders called the Drive Less, Save More Discount, which could save you up to 10% on your auto insurance premium if you qualify.

It feels good knowing your insurance company recognizes that the world and how people function in their day-to-day lives has evolved. This is just one of the ways our company puts our members first; Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance policyholders know that they are one of the company’s top priorities.

Our vision is “Our family protecting your family,” and our agents and employees see you as family, not as an insurance policy. We want to take the guesswork out of insurance and help you select insurance coverages that fit the needs of you and your family.

FAQs

Do you have questions about the Drive Less, Save More Discount? Don’t worry, you are not alone! Here are a few frequently asked questions regarding this discount. If you can’t find the answers you need on the discount’s FAQ page, contact your local insurance agent today.

What is the Drive Less, Save More Discount and how does it work?

This discount can be applied to enrolled personal vehicles that are confirmed to be driven 12,000 or less miles per year. You must enroll each vehicle you believe qualifies. Upon confirmation of your initial odometer reading, you would receive the initial 2% discount. This will provide an initial discount level. Then annually we will request an updated photo of the odometer to confirm how many miles were driven that year. The discount level is then adjusted to reflect the miles the vehicle was driven.

What happens with a vehicle change to my auto policy?

The new vehicle will retain the established discount level for the vehicle that it is replacing. At the time of the change, we will request a photo of the new vehicle’s odometer to establish the starting point. When it is time for the annual verification, we will request a current photo of the odometer. Those two odometer readings provide the actual mileage driven for that time, which is used to determine the annual mileage. If it is less than 12,000 miles, the policy continues to receive the discount, which can be up to 10%.
